Far from the Twin Valleys, Amara and her companions are following ancient Living Paths that were almost forgotten. Everywhere they travel, the signs are changing. Old routes are filling with footsteps. Songs are passing from one community to another. Travellers carry news along roads that have been quiet for generations.
And all those roads seem to be leading towards the same place.
On Abeni the Path Keeper's worn map, it is nothing more than a blank space.
What waits there may change everything Amara understands about Koruma.
But finding a forgotten place is only the beginning. As people from distant communities meet again, Amara discovers that restoring what has been lost is not as simple as rebuilding old roads. Some paths have changed. Some should remain untouched. Some stories survive only in fragments. And no single person, village or Keeper holds every answer.
To reconnect Koruma, its people will have to do something harder than remember the past.
They will have to listen to one another.
